Matteo Rossi

hello@matteorossi.example

I’m an independent developer based in northern Italy. Since 2015, I’ve worked with small design studios and thoughtful people to make websites for books, buildings, exhibitions, and everything in between.

My background is in graphic design, but most days you’ll find me writing code. Somewhere along the way, I became a developer who thinks in layouts. I like being somewhere between the two.

I have a soft spot for typography, simple systems, and websites with a sense of calm. I’m happiest when a project has a clear idea and the room to do it properly.

My tools are deliberately familiar: good old HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a small content management system. A simple stack for things that should last.

I’m always happy to meet new people. If you have a project in mind, or just want to talk about the web, send me an email.

Alpine House

Mountain lake

A simple website for a small guesthouse. Built around photographs, quiet typography, and a clear path to getting in touch.

Common Editions

An independent publisher’s digital home. A flexible catalog, long-form reading layouts, and enough space for the books to speak.

Studio Norte

A considered archive of an architecture studio’s work, designed to grow slowly over time.
